Born and raised in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, I recently moved to Silicon Valley to study my master’s degree on Human Factors and Ergonomics at San Jose State. Back in Mexico I worked as part of the global team User Experience Design Team at Whirlpool Corporation, leading the Craftsmanship department in my region.
I’m an Industrial Designer, but 90 % of the time at Whirlpool I worked with Engineers from different areas including Technology, Design, and Manufacturing. Leading Craftsmanship at Whirlpool taught me the complexities involved in the product development process including the requirements and limitations from the planning through the engineering and manufacturing of a product.
I like learning about how things work and in general, just learning new things. I don’t like thinking outside the box, I like thinking there is no box to think outside of. I’m not saying there are no limits, but I am saying that these can be overcome one way or another. The world is full of possibilities and it’s our job to find the best solution possible to any problem that stands in our way.
Always up for a new challenge! 😀
